OXFORD JUNCTION - Final rites were held Sunday at 10 a.m. from the Hayden funeral home for Mrs. Anna Benhart, 79.

Rev. Kenneth Harden conducted the service. Hymns were sung by Mrs. Hans Ahrendsen and Mrs. Fred Lasack, with Mrs. G. J. Bess accompaning at the piano. Flowers were in charge of Betty Benhart and Marilyn Benhart.

Serving as casket bearers were Joe Buresh, Fred Buresh, Otto Benhart, Frank Benhart, Louis Buresh and John Buresh. Burial was in Mayflower cemetery.

Mrs. Benhart had been practically a life long resident of Oxford Junction community. She was born here, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Rula in January, 1868, and was united in marriage to Joe Benhart on Jan. 25, 1886. Together they farmed for 33 years south of Oxford Mills, retiring then to make their home here.

Mr. Benhart died several years ago.

Last March she sold her home here, and for a short while lived in Toronto. She then went to the home of her son, Albert in Davenport, where she was taken ill last Sunday with a heart attack and died last Thursday morning.

She is survived by two sons, Joe, Oxford Junction, and Albert, Davenport, and three daughters, Mrs. Mary Michelek, Chicago, Mrs. Annie Dolezal, Monmouth and Mrs. Frances Andre, Toronto, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Three sons preceeded her in death.
