Funeral service for Myrt Miller, 77, was held last Friday at 2 p.m. at Smykil Home for Funerals. Rev. B. C. Crockett was in charge.

Service was conducted by the Knights of Pythias, of which organizational Mr. Miller had been an active member. He was past chancellor of Summer lodge No. 92.

Mr. Miller was found dead in his home Wednesday, Jan. 1, at 11 a.m. Henry Dorgeloh, a neighbor, had seen no light in the Miller home the previous night, so checked and found Mr. Miller dead sitting in a chair in the kitchen.

County Coroner, Frank Harrington, Wyoming, investigated and said Mr. Miller had been dead from natural causes for several hours.

Mr. Miller has been a familiar figure around Anamosa, serving as yard man for a number of Anamosa families until about the last year.

He was born July 16, 1870, at Stanwood as the son of Judge and Mrs. Benjamin Miller. Surviving are one brother, Earl, and a nephew, Chester Miller, Cedar Rapids.
