Funeral service for Mrs. Ramsey Henriksen, 70, was held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Methodist church, with Rev. Edgar E. Walker, jr., officiating. Music was by Mrs. O. A. Rife, organist, and Mrs. Vince Owen and Miss Marian Hale, singers.
Casket bearers were Thomas Stimpson, John Baumel, Earl Pulver, Peter Johannsen, Charles Ryan and Otto Plond. Burial was in Riverside cemetery.
Anna Jensen was born Feb. 22, 1877, in Denmark and came to the United States in 1891 at the age of 14. Her family settled in Maquoketa. In 1900 she married Joseph Langkjer who died in 1922. She had one daughter, Jennie, by her first marriage.
On April 5, 1943, she married Ramsey Henriksen and made her home in Anamosa. She was a member of the Women's Relief corps and of Evangeline Rebekah lodge. For several years she served as president of the Methodist Aid society and had been a member and active worker in the Methodist church for many years.
She is survived by her husband, a member of the Anamosa city council; one daughter, Mrs. R. L. Strasburg, Iowa City; two step daughters, Mrs. W. O. Blake, Anamosa, and Mrs. Lilly Hart, Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Mrs. E. J. Daubenmeir, Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Hans Kreutz, Bruce, S. Dak., and four grandchildren.
