ONSLOW - Funeral service for Mrs. Belle Howard was held Tuesday, Sept. 24 at the Presbyterian church. Rev. Frank Schroeder, Dubuque, had charge of the service.

As Pheobe Arrabella Tippett, daughter of William and Julia Tippett, she was born at Clay Mills, July 11, 1863.

She was married to Frank Howard in 1882. To this union eight children were born, six daughters and two sons. All have preceded her in death but one daughter, Mrs. Carrol Bickford, Irma, with whom she made her home. She has been in failing health the last nine months, and died at Mercy hospital, Anamosa, where she had been taken a short time before for care and rest.

She also leaves seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Vickie French, Spencer.

Lyle Thompson, Center Junction, sang two numbers with Mrs. C. R. Smith, Wyoming at the piano. Pallbearers were James Kennedy, George Paulsen, George French, Carrol Lightfoot, Ernie Horton and Howard Willison. Burial was at the Clay cemetery.
