OLIN - Funeral service for Dr. Herreck W. Truax, who died at Mayo Bros. hospital, Rochester, Min., on Sept. 4, was held at the Campbell funeral home here Sunday, Sept. 7. Rev. George Gaide of the Methodist church conducted the service.

Mrs. Leon Stivers sang two solos, accompanied by Mrs. P. J. Rohwedder, at the service. Interment was in the Olin cemetery with M. D. Grafft, B. E. Switzer, J. H. Ballou, Edmund T. Sealls, M. C. Gordon and Dee L. Vrooman acting as casket bearers.

Dr. Truax had been ill the last five months.

Herrick W. Truax was born Jan. 31, 1904, in the Olin schools, graduating in 1922 and from the University of Iowa School of Dentistry in 1930.

On Sept. 17, 1938, he was married to Vivian Holm of Sabula. They had two sons, Frederick Holm and Kurt Holm.

Dr. Truax practiced in Sabula for 10 years before locating in Clinton three years ago. He was a member of the Elks lodge and the Clinton dental association.

Survivors include his wife and sons, his parents, Dr. and Mrs. F. E. Truax, and one brother, Dr. Frederick Truax, Marshalltown.
