MONTIELLO - George F. Tobiason died suddenly Tuesday morning following an attack of heart disease. He was on his way to his farm home from a nearby timber where he had been picking berries.

Tobiason's body was found lying near the railroad track, and was noticed by the engineer on the Milwaukee railroad freight train which left Monticello at 2:30 p.m. Train was stopped and a messenger sent to the Tobiason home to notify Mrs. Tobiason and call the county coroner, Frank Harrington. Coroner attributed death to a heart attack and said no inquest would be necessary.

Mr. Tobiason was born May 3, 1877, on the same farm on which he lived at the time of his death. He attended the rural schools of the county and later assisted his father on the farm.

He was married Jan. 30, 1902, to Mary Bohlken at the home of the bride's parents. Ceremony was performed by Rev. W. H. L. Shuetz, former pastor of St. John's church. Two sons, both of whom survive, were born to the union. They are Tobias F. Tobiason, Atkins, Iowa and Milton G. H. Tobiason, at home.

Other survivors are his wife, Mary, a sister, Mrs. Herman Hanken, Monticello, and two grandsons, Dean and Richard Tobiason, Atkins.

Funeral service was held Friday afternoon at the family home and St. John's Lutheran church, Rev. R. P. Young, pastor, in charge.

Interment was made at Oakwood cemetery, Monticello.

Relatives who attended from out-of-town were Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Eilts and Mr. and Mrs. Will Eilts, LeMars.
