WYOMING - Funeral services were held at the First Presbyterian church in Wyoming July 29 for Miss Edith Griswold, a former resident of Wyoming.

Miss Griswold was born at LaMotte on Nov. 9, 1891. She was the daughter of Henry C. and Jessie Frost Griswold. Her early childhood was spent at La Motte and she later moved to Wyoming with her parents. She was graduated from the Wyoming public schools, received her B.A. degree from the University of Wisconsin, her Master's degree from Iowa State University.

She taught school in Iowa, moved to San Bernadino, Calif, in 1923, where she taught school until her retirement. She lived in Sacramento until she moved to Mankato, Minn., where she lived with her brother. She died July 26.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Raymond.

She is survived by a brother, Wayne of Mankato, two nieces and a nephew, Raymond Griswold of Wyoming.

Rev. John C. Beran conducted services. Pallbearers were Lyle Tompkins, Joe Cathey, Henry Fishwild, Ernest Reitz, Robert Alden and Howard Day. Interment was in Wyoming cemetery.
