WYOMING - Funeral service for Will C. George, 78, who died Tuesday, Sept. 16, in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Herb Vargason, was held Thursday afternoon of last week in the Harrington funeral home. Burial was in the Wyoming cemetery. Rev. F. E. Somerville, Methodist pastor, officiated.

Mr. George's death came after a long illness. He was taken Sunday to the home of his daughter from Mercy hospital, Anamosa.

Born in Illinois, Mr. George served as a Baptist minister when he was young. He came to Wyoming from Maquoketa 38 years ago and entered the shoe repair business. With the exception of three years spent in Missouri he spent all his later life in Wyoming. He was a member of the Methodist church here.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Una George; two daughters, Mrs. Lora Vargaon and Mrs. Ruth Marter, Waterloo, five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
