MONTICELLO - Funeral services for Judd G. Nichols were held Friday afternoon from Goettsch funeral home with the Rev. Wayne Norris officiating. Burial was in Oakwood cemetery.

Mr. Nichols died Feb. 16 at the Jane Lamb hospital, Clinton. He was born Nov. 20, 1880 in Jones county, the son of William and Sarah Mandigo Nichols. He was married to Susan Fuller Feb. 10, 1903, and was employed at Franklin Equipment Co. until his retirement in 1951. Mrs. Nichols died in March 1947. Mr. Nichols was re-married in October 1947 to Leitha B. Tompkins.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Charles C. (Velma) Schneiter, Cascade; Mrs. M. C. (Luella) Malgaard, Dunedin, Fla.; Mrs. Clarence (Elmaree) Doll, Onslow; one son, W. Elwood, Marion; and seven step-children, J. Wilson Tompkins, Chicago; Walter, Robert and James Tompkins, Clinton; Mrs. Merritt (Clarabelle) Dann, Low Moor; Mrs. Gail (Eleanor) Mank, Clinton; Mrs. Willis (Patricia) Valckman, Mesa, Ariz. and two grandsons.

Pallbearers included Clayton Adamson, Albert Siebels, Leoanrd Fluckiger, William Behrends, Carl Morning and Gerald Rohr.
