BUCK CREEK - Funeral services for Annett Kay Beitz, 6-weeks-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Beitz, were held Friday afternoon at the Buck Creek Methodist church. The Rev. John Hall officiated. Burial was in the Hopkinton cemetery.

The baby was found dead in her crib at the family home last Wednesday morning. Death was attributed to pneumonia. She was born Jan. 2 at John McDonald hospital, Monticello, and was the winner of the "First Baby of the Year" contest sponsored by Monticello merchants.

She is survived by her parents; a brother, Roger, 3 years; a sister, Pam, 1 year; the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Davis, rural Hopkinton, and the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Beitz, Buck Creek.
