OXFORD JUNCTION - Last rites for Mrs. Louis Petersen, 74, were held from the home in Oxford Junction at one o'clock Friday afternoon and from the Lutheran church at Wyoming at two o'clock. Rev. H. H. Graening officiated and hymns were sung by Miss Eloise Brunscheen and Mrs. Graening.

Those in charge of the floral offerings were Mrs. Louis Ledvina and Miss Christine Ahrendsen, Oxford Junction, and Ella Von Sprecken and Dora Carstensen, Wyoming. Pallbearers were August Hansen, Lawrence Ahrendsen, Marvin Petersen, Hans H. Petersen, August Ahrendsen and Herman Petersen. Interment was in the Mayflower cemetery at Oxford Junction.

Mrs. Petersen was born Pauline Hansen, Sept. 29, 1871 in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Hansen. She came to America with her parents when six years old and has since lived in this community. She was united in marriage to Louis Petersen, Oxford Junction, Feb. 26, 1892, and they farmed near here until in 1931, when they came to make their home in Oxford Junction.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Petersen is survived by three sons, Martin, Wyoming; Ed and August, Oxford Junction; a daughter, Mrs. Amanda Lorenzen, Oxford Junction; 10 grandchildren and two brothers, B. J. Hansen, Oxford Junction, and Peter Hansen, Dolan, S.D.
