Funeral service for Mrs. John H. Perrine, 70, who died last Friday at Monticello, was held Monday afternoon at a Monticello chapel. Rev. Homer E. Dalrymple of the Anamosa Congregational church was the officiating minister and burial was made in the cemetery at Wyoming, Iowa. Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased: Howard Bronson, Cedar Rapids; William Bronson, Wyoming; Stuart and Dillon Franks of Lisbon and DeWitt.

Ida Franks Perrine, daughter of Sylvester G. and Hulda Franks was born May 13, 1876, at Wyoming, Iowa. She was graduated from the Wyoming high school after which she taught school for two years. She was married to William F. Waite in 1895, and to this union a son, George G. Waite, was born. For a time she made her home in Wyoming, Iowa.

In 1912 she was married to John Perrine, Monticello, and was a devoted mother to his three children, LaVetta, Samara and Beahl and her son, George. She was a member of the Congregational church.

She took an active part in the Red Cross of the community, serving as roll call chairman of the Monticello chapter and was country chairman of the Christmas Seal sale. She was one of the organizers of the Monticello League of Women Voters. Mrs. Perrine was a member of the Eastern Star and served as Worthy Matron of the Shreiner chapter, Monticello. She was affiliated with chapter FP of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, and a member of the Friday Literary club.

Surviving are her husband and children, George G. Waite, LaVetta M. Perrine and Mrs. Paul N. Smith, Anamosa; Beahl T. Perrine, Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, Nancy Jean, George M. and Robert Franks Waite; John Paul and Barbara Jean Smith.

Five sisters, Frances Franks, Mrs. Sara Rhodes, Mrs. Katherine Bronson, Mrs. Josephine Noyes, Glen Echo, Md., and Henrietta Franks, Cedar Rapids, also survive.
