MONTICELLO - Fannie M. Jarrett, 81, died suddenly at John McDonald hospital Thursday, April 8, following a short illness.

Funeral services were Saturday, April 10, at 9:30 a.m. from Sacred Heart Catholic church with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. E. P. Lorenz officiating. Burial was made at Sacred Heart cemetery.

Mrs. Jarrett was born Oct. 8, 1883 at Monticello, a daughter of Anthony S. and Carolien Meyer Locher. She was married in 1913 to James McAleer, who died in 1940. She married William H. Jarrett in 1948. He preceded her in death in 1957.

Survivors include five brothers, Leo Locher of Columbus, Neb., John J. Locher of Monticello, Dr. Earl Locher and Charles Locher both of Dubuque, Dr. Lawrence Locher of Farley, and three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Muller, Mary Locher and Bertha Locher, all of Monticello. She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and one sister.

Pallbearers were Larry Curphy, George Hines, James Redding, Tom Locher, John Locher and Keith Riley.
