Requiem mass for Mrs. William Daly, 77, was held Monday at 9 a.m. in St. Patrick's church, with Rev. J. A. McMahon officiating.

Mrs. Daly died Friday, July 4, in the home of her daughter, Mrs. John H. McLoone, Wasteka, Minn., after an illness of five weeks.

Casket bearers were Harry Porter, Tom Snyder, Charles Gray, John McNamara, Milton Chesire and Mike Martin. Burial was in Holy Cross cemetery.

Margaret Cavanaugh, daughter of Maurice and Mary Cavanaugh, was born Sept. 5, 1870, in Anamosa. She was married on Nov. 25, 1897. Couple farmed near Amber and later moved to Iowa City. Mr. Daly was well known as a Chatauqua lecturer.

After her husband's death, Mrs. Daly made her home in Anamosa with her sister, Miss None Cavanaugh, and with her children.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. McLoone, and Mrs. J. W. Mitchell, Crowley, La., and one son Grey Daly, Wilton Junction. Son, Edwin, died in 1940.

Her children were all here for the funeral service.
