WYOMING - Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 13 at 1:30 p.m. at the Hayden Funeral home for John Shedek, 71, who died Nov. 10 at Knoxville. The Rev. Wayne Norris officiated. Burial was in the Wyoming cemetery.

Pallbearers were Irvin Sievers, Melvin Sievers, William Broderson, John Hansen, Wallace Cruise and Louis Schladetzky.

Mr. Shedek was born at Wyoming Feb. 24, 1893, the son of Joseph and Catherine Yanda Shedek. He and Mabel Garnett were married at Onslow Dec. 15, 1902. They made their home on a farm west of Wyoming. A son, Robert, of Springville and a daughter, Mrs. Velma Chaplin, of Hopkinton were born to this union.

Mr. Shedek served in the military service during World War I and maintained membership in the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, son and daughter and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Koranda of Oxford Jct. and Mrs. Frances Pegorick of Prairieburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
