OXFORD JUNCTION - Funeral service for Mrs. Minnie Schwab, 81, Springville, former Oxford Junction resident, was held Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 23, in the English Lutheran church here, with Rev. Wesley Buck, pastor, in charge. Mrs. Louis Ingwersen and Mrs. Otto Koranda, sang, with Mrs. Palmer Vaughn as pianist.

Pallbearers were Ed Petersen, Louis Buresh, Fred Nowachek, Frank Nespor, George Slouha and Hans Petersen. Interment was in Mayflower cemetery.

Mrs. Schwab died Saturday, Dec. 20, in the home of her son, Roy, Springville. She was born Sept. 14,1866, at Fairview, Ohio, daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Turkle, and later came west with her parents, who were early pioneers in this community. She was married May 18, 1887, to George Schwab, who died several years later. She married his brother, Charles Andrew Schwab, in 1893. He died in 1930. She continued to live on the Schwab homestead, three miles north of Oxford Junction, until in 1938, when, because of failing health she sold her home and went to live with her son, Roy.

She was baptised and confirmed in the Lutheran faith, and was a member of the Oxford Junction church for 60 years.

She is survived by five children, Ira, Princeton; Mrs. Lula Curtain, Marion; Mrs. Laura Thompson, Powelton, W.Va.; Ernest, Oxford Junction, and Roy, Springville; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
