Funeral service for Mrs. Frank Scott, 75, who died Oct. 2 in a Los Angeles hospital, was held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Patrick's Catholic church, Anamosa.

Requiem high mass was celebrated by Rev. Robert D. Swift. Also taking part in the service were Rev. John J. Hennessy, Castle Grove, deacon, and Rev. J. A. McMahon, sub deacon.

Casket bearers were Maurice Fay, Glen McLaughlin, Milton Chesire, John Hanlon, Phillip Daly and Michael Martin. Burial was in Holy Cross cemetery.

Sadie Periyman was born June 30, 1872, near Cascade. She was married Jan. 11, 1894, and she and her husband lived in Anamosa where Mr. Scott was in partnership with his brother, Bert, in the Scott hardware store. Couple later operated a general store, which they sold in 1912 when they moved to Monticello where they operated a hardware store.

They later returned to Anamosa and then to Chicago. In 1931, the Scotts moved back to Anamosa where Mr. Scott died in 1932. Mrs. Scott remained here until four years ago when she went to Los Angeles to live with her son, Francis Scott. She was a member of St. Patrick's church, Anamosa. Mrs. Scott was taken to the hospital eight days before she died, suffering with a stroke.

In addition to her son, Mrs. Scott is survived by three nephews, Ed Foley, Rock Island, Ill.; Charles Foley, Anamosa, and Owen Scott, Cedar Rapids. Five brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.

Her son was here for the funeral.
