CENTER JUNCTION - Funeral service for Mrs. Ray Sanford, 48, who took her life by hanging at her home near Scotch Grove, Sunday afternoon, was held at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Presbyterian church in Center Junction.

Rev. W. J. Cushman conducted the service and burial was made at the Scotch Grove cemetery. Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello, was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Sanford's body was found hanging in an outbuilding on the Sanford farm about five o'clock Sunday afternoon. She had been in ill health for some time. Jones county Coroner F. L. Harrington said no inquest would be held.

Eunice Biggs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Biggs, was born Dec. 1, 1897, in Laddonia, Mo. She taught in the Center Junction school from 1921 to 1924.

On June 25, 1924, she married Ray Sanford. They have one daughter, Suzanne, 10. Mrs. Sanford also taught in the Center Junction school the last two years.

Surviving besides her husband, who is Triple A secretary at Monticello, and daughter, are her mother, Mrs. W. S. Biggs, Laddonia; four brothers, George, Center, Mo.; Joe, Enid, Okla.; William and Mac, Laddonia; and two sisters, Mrs. J. C. Westfall, Laddonia, and Mrs. Porter May, Bolling Green, Mo.
