OLIN - Funeral service was held Monday for Wesley W. Switzer at the Moen chapel in Cedar Rapids, followed with service at the Olin Methodist church. Rev. H. L. Ruthrauff, Cedar Rapids, was in charge.

Mrs. Irene Ballou, accompanied on the piano by Mrs. L. J. Rohwedder, sang two numbers. Pallbearers were C. H. P. Hanson, H. E. Carter, F. E. Miles, W. A. Cruise, C. Freeman and L. J. Rohwedder. Masonic rites were held at the Olin cemetery by members of Ancient Landmark No. 200, A.F. and A.M.

Wesley William Switzer, 73, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Miller, in Cedar Rapids, Friday, June 21, following a three months illness.

Born Aug. 3, 1872, in Olin, he was a resident of that community most of his life.

Maintenance foreman for the Milwaukee railroad, he served that company 45 years, retiring July 24, 1940, when he went to Cedar Rapids to make his home.

Dec. 20, 1893, he was married to Miss Kate Sarby in Olin. He was a member of Ancient Landmark Lodge No. 200, A.F. and A.M. at Olin, Modern Woodmen and the Brotherhood of Railway Maintenance of Way Employees (AFL).

Surviving besides his daughter are three brothers, Sam and Fred, Olin, and Charles, Des Moines, two sisters, Mrs. Grace Cole, Olin, and Mrs. Eva Keseburg, Pine River, Minn.; three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren.
