WAYNE - Funeral service for Mrs. August W. Stahlberg, 49, who died Wednesday, June 19, at a Monticello hospital, was held Friday afternoon at the Monticello funeral home and at Wayne Zion Lutheran church. Rev. F. H. Kehren officiated at the service and burial was made in Oakwood cemetery, Monticello. Pallbearers were Wilbur Hinrichs, Avert Kiburz, Paul Martensen, Herbert Herren, Norman Hinrichs and William Wolken.

Ella Margaretha, daughter of August and Rosena Schoon Lund, was born Sept. 8, 1896, in Wayne township, Jones county, Iowa. She was baptized Oct. 25, 1896, and confirmed April 9, 1911.

She was married to August W. Stahlberg April 12, 1917. One son, Verne E., was born to the union. She was a member of Wayne Lutheran church all of her life. She was preceded in death by her father.

Surviving are her husband, her son, Vernon, at home; her mother, Mrs. Rosena Lund; a sister, Mrs. Mabel Lund Behrends.
