Funeral service for F. M. Stover, 75, who died Monday, June 24, at the East Moline state hospital, East Moline, Ill., was held Wednesday, June 26, at Forest Hill cemetery from the Loder Funeral Home with Rev. C. L. Windsor officiating.

Francis Marion Stover was born in Fairview township, Jones county, Iowa, Feb. 12, 1871, son of Elias and Emily Stover. His parents, three brothers, Samuel G., Thomas J., and William H., and one sister, Katherine, Mrs. Alonzo Burroughs, preceded him in death.

One brother, Hughey E. Stover, Anamosa, and one sister, Emily Mae, Mrs. C. W. Mollett, Portland, Ore., survive.

Frank, as he was commonly called, spent most of his life alone, choosing to make his home in a cottage by the river or in the woods, the past 30 years living by Rock River near Hillsdale, Ill.

Two years ago, when he found that his health was rapidly failing and he was no longer able to care for himself, he asked to be taken in at the state hospital in East Moline, Ill.
