CASCADE - An eight-year-old Cascade girl, Mary Eileen Steckline, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Steckline, died early Tuesday morning in a Monticello hospital from burns suffered while playing with fire late Monday afternoon.

Merina, Mary's sister, was burned severely while attempting to wrap her sister in a rug. She is under the care of a physician. Surviving are the parents and nine brothers and sisters.
