Funeral service for Miss Mary G. Strickel, 55, was held Friday at a Central City funeral home with burial at Riverside cemetery, Anamosa. Pallbearers were: Keith Miell, Victor Buker and Gordon Hatch, Central City, and Floyd Covington, Hopkinton.

Mary Grace, 10th child of 12 born to James and Grace Williams Strickel, was born May 22, 1890, near Stone City, Iowa. She was a graduate of the Anamosa high school, class of 1908. She was a member of the Majel club, Royal Neighbors lodge and the Congregational church, all of Anamosa. She had lived in Central City for the last five years.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Martha Schreoder, Central City, and two brothers, Robert A. Strickel, Independence, and Amos A. Strickel, Cedar Rapids, four nieces, five nephews and two grand nieces.
