OXFORD JUNCTION - Final rites were held Friday, July 11, at 2 p.m. at the Hayden funeral home for John M. Wosoba, 84, who died Wednesday afternoon at his home here after a long illness.

Rev. Kenneth Harden conducted the service and hymns were sung by Mrs. Fred Lasack, Mrs. Hans Ahrendsen and Mrs. Fred Sacora, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. G. J. Bees.

The casketbearers, all grandsons, were Lewis Lasack, Leonard Lasack, Albert Lasack, Merle Muhl, Lumir Wosoba and James Wosoba.

Interment was in Mayflower cemetery.

John Wosoba was born in Bohemia, May 15, 1863, and came to the United States when a small boy with his parents John and Catherine Wosoba. He was employed for many years as a boilermaker with the Illinois Central railroad, both at Freeport, Ill., and Waterloo, retiring in 1931. He was married to Anna Burda, Oxford Junction, who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Louis Lasack and Mrs. Fred Harms, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A daughter died in infancy and a son, Ira Wosoba, several years ago.
