Funeral service for Mrs. Ann White, 87, who died at the Baumgardner Nursing home near Cordova, Ill., last Saturday following a long illness, was held Tuesday afternoon at the Smykil Home for Funerals. Rev. Edgar E. Walker, jr., of the Methodist church was the officiating minister. Burial was made at the Antioch cemetery.

Ann Johnson White, daughter of John and Elizabeth Johnson, was born May 18, 1858, at Carthorpe, Yorkshire, England. She was married to Thomas E. White of Garden Plain, Jan. 1, 1879. After farming in Garden Plain for 27 years they retired and moved to Anamosa in 1906. Mr. White died in February, 1935. She was the last member of a family of seven children. She had gone to Albany, Ill., to make her home with her son, John White.

Surviving are three children: Mrs. A. L. Huggins, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. J. R. Edwards, Westerly, Rhode Island; and John White, Albany, Ill.; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren.

Mrs. White was a member of the Methodist church for many years, and joined the Anamosa church Dec. 12, 1915.
