August 30, 1945 - The Anamosa Journal

Funeral service for Jennie E. Mullet, 58, who died Friday, Aug. 17, at her home at Marion, Ia., was held Tuesday of last week at the Loder Funeral Home in Anamosa, Rev. Frank Ward, Cedar Rapids, officiating. Burial was made in Riverside cemetery.

Jennie Evelyn Minier second daughter of the late Joseph and Ida (Nee Lab) Minier, was born at Anamosa, Jan. 8, 1887. She lived in Anamosa most of her life. The last few years she had made her home in and near Cedar Rapids and Marion. She was ill for about three years prior to her death.

Jennie attended the Anamosa school and the Methodist church here in her childhood. April 20, 1907, she was united in marriage at Anamosa to John Mullet of this community.

To this union four children were born, Essie Evelyn, who died two years ago in September; Arthur Mullet, Cedar Rapids; Clarence Mullet, Chicago, and Bruce, who died at the age of two years.

Surviving besides the two sons, Arthur and Clarence, are three grandchildren, four sisters, Mrs. Maude Knott, Marshall, Mo.; Mrs. Pearl Gremmels, Spirit Lake, Ia.; Mrs. Lon Shull, Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Flossie Laymond, Gary, Ind.; one brother, Fred Minier, Cedar Rapids and 21 nieces and nephews.
