Mrs. Addie Johnson, 76, died Tuesday, April 17, at her home at Davenport, following a long illness. Funeral service was held April 19 at a Davenport funeral home with burial at Hill Pine cemetery there.
She was born in Anamosa April 8, 1869, and attended the schools here. In 1886 she married John Mowry, a railroad man, and the home was made in Anamosa. They were the parents of two children, Chancey Mowry, Anamosa, and Mrs. Flossie Bruner, Davenport; both of whom survive.
In 1894 she was married a second time to George Johnson, Davenport. Children of this marriage, all of whom survive, are Mrs. Gladys Moody, Mrs. Viola Adams, and Harold Johnson, all of Davenport.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Methodist church in Davenport.
