The unexpected death of Mrs. John E. Folkerts, occurred at her home in Wayne township at 7:20 yesterday morning. The immediate cause of death was heart trouble. Funeral services will be held next Saturday afternoon. Short services will be held at the Goettsch funeral home at 1:30 and further services at 2:00 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran church in Wayne township.

Rev. F. H. Kehren, Lutheran minister, will have charge of both services. Interment will be made in the cemetery adjoining the church. The pallbearers at the funeral will include Gerd Andresen, George Folkerts, Harvey Helgens, Bennie Tobiason, Lyle Tobiason and Marvin Stahlberg.

Mrs. Folkerts was Catherine Sophia Tobiason, daughter of Bernhard and Anke (Hayen) Tobiason. She was born Dec. 20, 1876 in Wayne township and was baptized March 8, 1876 and confirmed March 22, 1891 by pastor G. Rettig.

She was married April 3, 1902 to John E. Folkerts at the Wayne Evangelical Lutheran church. Rev. C. Mardorf performed the marriage ceremony. Four children were born to this union, Elmer, Lloyd, Iola and Esther. The father, John E. Folkerts, died Jan. 16, 1944.

Mrs. Folkerts is survived by two brothers and a sister, Tobias R. Tobiason, Hayo Tobiason and Grace, Mrs. Fred Helgens. Three sisters and a brother preceded her in death. Mrs. Folkerts was a life long member of the Evangelical Lutheran church.
