OLIN--Daniel, son of the late James and Eva Adleman, was born in Jackson Co., Feb. 9, 1860. At the age of 15 his father moved with his growing family to a large farm, five miles southeast of Lost Nation. He was one of 13 children, nine boys and four girls.

He was united in marriage to the late Rebecca Gaines Feb. 19, 1884, at Elwood, Ia. Mrs. Adleman preceded him in death in the year 1941. Mr. and Mrs. Adleman farmed near Olin, and also lived in Olin, and farmed near Elwood for several years and then moved to Mitchell, So. Dak. Since his wife's death, he has been making his home with his son, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Adleman, in Cleveland, Ohio.

Mr. Adleman is survived by a son, Bruce; two grandchildren, Cecelia and Daniel; two great-grandchildren, all in Los Angeles, Calif.; and one brother, Milton, who resides in Lost Nation. Three daughters and two sons preceded him in death.

Funeral service was held at the Campbell Funeral home Sunday at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. W. E. Strait in charge. Mrs. L. J. Rohwedder accompanied Mrs. Merle Ballou, who sang, "Old Rugged Cross," and "Going Home". Burial was in Olin cemetery. L. J. Rohwedder, Parley Winchip, Jay McCormick, Walter McCormick, Ernest Peck and Chris Hansen were pallbearers.
