Mrs. Harriet Long, 81, who died Sunday at her home in Waterloo, was buried Wednesday afternoon at Riverside cemetery near Anamosa, following funeral service at a Waterloo chapel Wednesday morning.
She was born Dec. 27, 1863, at Jackson, Mich., daughter of William and Elizabeth Curtis Van Schaick. She married John D. Baum, Anamosa, Nov. 11, 1882. He died in July 1914.
She moved to Waterloo from Mechanicsville, and was married to Abe L. Long Aug. 19, 1919.
She was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Waterloo, and the Royal Neighbors lodge in Anamosa.
One sister, Mrs. Ida Heath, Marshalltown, survives. W. O. "Red" Norton, Anamosa, is a surviving nephew.
