Funeral service for T. L. Levy, 59, who died Sunday morning at Mercy hospital, Anamosa, following a long illness, was held Tuesday afternoon at the Beam and Miller chapel. Rev. E. A. Schlaman officiated. Burial was at the Tipton cemetery.

Thaddeus L. Levy was born Jan. 20, 1886, near Wheatland, and was educated in the Tipton schools. He lived at Tipton and Belle Plaine before coming to Anamosa in 1913 as auditor for the Northwestern railway. He was married in March, 1910, to Hazel Genevieve Dodge, who preceded him in death on March 31, 1923.

He had been employed at the Men's Reformatory at Anamosa until 1943, and at the Collins Radio company, Cedar Rapids, until he became ill in June, 1944.

He was a Past Chancellor of the Knights of Pythias, and a member of the Methodist Episcopal church in Anamosa.

Surviving are two sons, Oscar and Raymond; two brothers, Joseph and William, and two sisters, Bess and Elmina.
