OXFORD JUNCTION - Frank Benischek, 65, died Sunday at eleven a.m. in the St. Luke's hospital in Cedar Rapids, after an illness of a year. Body was brought to the Hayden mortuary here where funeral service was held Wednesday p.m.
He was born in July, 1879, on the Benischek home farm, where he was engaged in farming until the time of his death. He was the son of John and Mary Benischek.
In 1914 he was united in marriage to Nora Pinter, Decorah, who survives him, and two sons, Leonard, at home; and Sergt. Herman, in Belgium; also one sister, Mrs. Nellie Jansen, Wyoming, and six brothers, Albert, Oxford Junction; Chris, Olin; Fred, Albuquerque, N.M.; Edward, Anamosa; and David and Sylvester, Wyoming.
