4 January 1945 - The Anamosa Journal

Louis Hartman, well-known Anamosa resident, died about 3:00 a.m. Thursday at the St. Luke's hospital in Cedar Rapids, following an attack of heart disease at the Iowa Engineering company in Cedar Rapids, where he is employed, about midnight. Funeral service plans have not been completed. Body rests at the Smykil Funeral home.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Theola Arnott, Cedar Rapids; three sisters, Mrs. G. A. Turner, Mrs. M. C. Crispin and Mrs. Elanor Gurley, Anamosa; and one brother, Tom, at Walker. One daughter preceded him in death.

Funeral service for Lou Hartman, who died early last Thursday morning in Cedar Rapids following an attack of heart disease at the Iowa Manufacturing plant where he was employed, was held Sunday afternoon at the Smykil funeral home.

Rev. Homer E. Dalrymple of the Congregational church officiated. Burial was made in Riverside cemetery.

Surviving him are one daughter, Mrs. Theola Arnott, Cedar Rapids; three sisters, Mrs. G. A. Turner, Mrs. M. C. Crispin and Mrs. Eleanor Gurley, Anamosa; and one brother, Tom, at Walker.
