Funeral service for Mrs. Augustas McDaniel, 92, who died last Friday afternoon at her home in Anamosa, was held Sunday at the Smykil Funeral home, with burial at the Forest Chapel cemetery. Rev. E. A. Schlaman officiated at the service.

She was born Ellen Kane, Oct. 25, 1852, near Morley. She had lived in the present home at 403 North Division street in Anamosa for 64 years.

She married Augustus 'Gus' McDaniels Sept. 24, 1874. Couple observed their 70th anniversary last October.

Surviving are the husband, all of their six children, Blanche, Mrs. Rawleigh Houstman, Anamosa; Alice, Mrs. Charles Dasdoll, Rochester, Minn.; Clarence, Great Falls, Mont.; Kimball, Anamosa; Grace, Mrs. Peter Burns, New England, N.D.; and Dave, Anamosa; 19 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. Eight of the grandsons now serve in the armed forces.
