Mrs. H. E. Stover has received word of the death of her half-sister, Mrs. M. J. Flaharty, at Winslow, Ariz.

Mary Permilla J. Meeks, daughter of John William and Mary Ann Klinefelter Meeks was born Sept. 16, 1874, in Jones county near Anamosa, died Nov. 23, 1944, at her home in Winslow, Ariz. She was buried Nov. 26.

Mamie, as she was known to the home folks, grew to womanhood in the Forest vicinity, being left motherless at the age of one week. She was united in marriage to Edgar C. Flaharty, Olin, who preceded her in death.

To this union two children were born, Arthur L. Flaharty and Mrs. Lucile Bowen, both of whom survive and live at Winslow, Ariz.
