Funeral service for Carl W. Eden, 74, who died Saturday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mark Cross, at Amber, was held Tuesday afternoon at the Wayne Lutheran church.

Mr. Eden was born in Germany, and came to Jones county with his parents at the age of 14, where he has lived ever since.

Surviving are two sons, Henry W. Eden, Viola, and Carl A. Eden, Anamosa; also four daughters, Mrs. Sadie C. Wehling and Mrs. Ida Ray, Anamosa; Mrs. Annie M. Hilldegardt, Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Cross.
