OXFORD JUNCTION--Funeral service for Mrs. Frank Custis, 85, was held Tuesday at one o'clock from the home and from the church at Massillon at two o'clock. The Rev. Mittler, Clarence, conducted the service. Those serving as pallbearers were five sons, John, Albert, Henry, William and Harold Custis, and a son-in-law, Howard Rogers. Interment was in the Massillon cemetery.

Mrs. Custis died Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Rogers, at Oxford Junction after several years of failing health. She was born Amy Esther Davis, at ???, Ill., May 19, 1880, the daughter of John and Maria Davis. They came to Iowa when she was a small girl and farmed north of Lowden. She was united in marriage in October, 1879, to Frank Custis and they farmed for a number of years near Toronto, retiring to make their home at Massillon, where Mr. Custis died in 1940. Since that time Mrs. Custis has made her home with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Rogers.

She is survived by the one daughter and six sons, John, Cherokee; Albert, Ogden; Henry, Wahoo, Neb.; William, Anamosa; Harold, Independence, Mo., and Earl, Los Angeles, Calif.; 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Custis had been a practical nurse for many years, and was well known throughout the community in which she lived.
