CENTER JUNCTION--William Sheldon Pangburn, 91, Marshalltown, former Center Junction resident, died Friday, March 5, at a Marshalltown hospital.

Funeral services were held Monday morning, March 9, at the Presbyterian church, Marshalltown. Short service was held at 3 p.m. at the Center Junction Presbyterian church. Burial was in North Madison Pioneer cemetery, Center Junction.

He was born in December of 1872. He was married to Hattie Witham. Couple made their home on a farm one mile west of Center Junction, until his retirement when they moved to Marshalltown.

He was a member of the Center Junction Presbyterian church. He had served as an elder, as superintendent of the Sunday school for 14 years, and was a member of the mixed adult choir. He also served as a board member for various organizations in the Center Junction area.

Survivors include four children, Hazel, Irma, Merle and Velma. He was preceded in death by his wife and a son, Maynard, who died when he was a senior student in Monticello high school.
