MARTELLE - Homer L. Allen, Martelle, formerly of Des Moines, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, at St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a lingering illness.

Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 11, at the Dunn Funeral home, Des Moines. Dr. C. Clifford Bacon conducted the service. Burial was in Glendale Masonic cemetery.

He was born in 1883 at South English. He worked with the Pittsburg-Des Moines Steel Co., Des Moines, for over 45 years, serving as a department head, prior to his retirement 15 years ago. He lived in Des Moines before moving to Martelle last August.

He was a member of the First Methodist church, Des Moines; Auburn Masonic lodge and Des Moines Consistory.

Survivors include his wife, Rosebud; and a sister, Mrs. Elsie Kelley, Napa, Calif.
