Funeral of Mrs. H. D. Chadwick, 76, Anamosa, who died Sunday at Mercy hospital, was held last Tuesday at the Methodist church with Rev. J. H. Delahooke officiating.

Clara May Roberts was born at Zanesville, Ohio, Feb. 10, 1864, and when a few months old moved to Hampton with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Roberts.

Here she was married to H. D. Chadwick on Feb. 8, 1886, and two years later the couple moved to Anamosa where they have lived since. Pair would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary next month.

Mrs. Chadwick was active in community and church life. She was a past noble grand of the Rebekah lodge, and past chief of the Pythian Sister Temple of Anamosa.

She is survived by her husband and several cousins. An only sister, Etta, preceded her in death.

Burial took place at Hampton on Wednesday. Beam & Miller were in charge of arrangements at Anamosa.
