OLIN--Wallace H. Cruise, 83, Olin, died unexpectedly on Thursday, Aug. 29, at his home in Olin.

Family Prayer service was held at the family home on Sunday, Sept. 1, at 1:30 p.m. followed by services at the Hayden Funeral home, Olin, at 2 p.m. Rev. Lloyd Dutro, pastor of Olin E.U.B. church, conducted the service. Interment was in the Olin cemetery where Ancient Landmark lodge No. 200 A.F. & A.M. was in charge of Masonic services.

Pallbearers included Glenn Brown, Gerald Kruse, Willard Hoyman, William Kell, Richard Grafft and Leo Weseman.

Richard Frazier was soloist. Dorothy Alexander was pianist. Flower committee from the Olin E.U.B. church had charge of floral tributes.

He was born June 17, 1880, son of Benjamin and Liza Schaaf Cruise, in Hale township, Jones county.

He spent most of his life in Jones county except for a few years spent in Calhoun county.

He was employed by the Milwaukee railroad for 46 years until his retirement in 1946.

On April 22, 1914, he was married to Elva Conley. He was a member of Ancient Landmark lodge No. 20, A.F. & A.M., Olin, for 43 years; a member of Hiawatha chapter O.E.S. and Modern Woodmen of America.

Survivors include his wife, Elva, a son, Howard, Olin; one brother, W. O. Cruise, Olin; four grandchildren and one great grandson.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mabel, Mrs. Oscar Vrooman; his parents, four brothers and one sister.
