OLIN--Minnie L. Cruise,92, Olin, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Aug. 18, at Iowa City, where she was visiting in the home of a grandson.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 21, at the Methodist church, Olin, at 2 p.m. Rev. John R. Schlosser conducted the service. Hayden Funeral home was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Diamond cemetery.

Geraldine Schladetzky was organist. Mrs. Nellie Stivers was soloist.

She was born July 31, 1871, daughter of James and Margaret Crawford Wooder, Marietta, Ohio. She moved to Jones county, with her family, when she was 12 years old. Family settled near Hale.

She was married to Fred D. Cruise, in 1891. Family lived near Clarence before moving to Hale where Mr. Cruise was engaged in business. After leaving Hale, the couple made their home in Olin.

She was a former member of Royal Neighbors of America lodge; a 50-year member of Women's Society of Christian service of the Methodist church; and on Oct. 3, 1963, she would have been a member of the Methodist church for 60 years.

Survivors include two daughters, Ina Cruise, Burlington; and Ethel, Mrs. A. R. Stephenson, Anamosa; two grandsons, Joe Stephenson, Cedar Rapids; and Donald Stephenson, Iowa City; and four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband November 1914; her parents, brothers and sisters, and two infant sons.
