OXFORD JUNCTION--Funeral service was held Sunday afternoon from the Hayden funeral home for Ralph Baumgarner, 50, who died Thursday at his home in Anamosa. Services were in charge of Rev. J. K. Delahooke of the Methodist church at Anamosa. Singers were Mrs. A. E. Hodoval, Mrs. Louis Ingwersen and Mrs. Otto Koranda, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Palmer Vaughn. Casket bearers were Fred Pegorek, Charles Benhart, John Carstensen, Frank Vohuska, Emil Vohuska and Joseph Benhart. Burial was in Riverside cemetery at Anamosa.
Ralph Baumgarner was born in Oxford township, Feb. 8, 1894, son of Jackson and Elvira Baumgarner. He was married Feb. 8, 1916, to Mabel Batchellor, Oxford Junction. They have farmed in this community since with the exception of four years at Prairieburg. He had been ill for more than a year.
Survivors are his wife, one son, Frank, and three grandsons, Olin.
