OXFORD JUNCTION--Funeral service was held here Tuesday afternoon from the Hayden funeral home for Michael Kulhavy, 78, who died in Rock Island from injuries which he received from a fall on the ice, fracturing his hip and other bones.

Previous service was held from Esterdahl chapel in Rock Island in the morning.

Service in Oxford Junction was in charge of the Z.C.B.J. lodge, with burial in Mayflower cemetery.

Mr. Kulhavy was born in Bohemia, and came to America and Oxford Junction when a young boy with his parents, Michael and Anna Kulhavy.

He was married to Mary Dlouhy, Oxford Junction, and they made their home here for many years, where Mr. Kulhavy operated a hardware and implement store. He was also mayor of Oxford Junction for several years.

Wife and one son preceded him in death. He is survived by three sons, George W., Kansas City, Mo.; Grover C. and Gus, Rock Island; two daughters, Mrs. Jeanette Henricks, St. Louis, Mo., and Mrs. Lucille Sackville, Rock Island.
