Funeral service for Herman W. Regennitter, 80, was held at 1 p.m. Monday at the St. Paul's American Lutheran church, Rev. H. L. Buesing officiating. Kathleen Eilers and Rev. Buesing sang two selections, "In the Garden": and "Jesus, Savior Pilot Me." Casket bearers were L. V. Candee, John Andreesen, Henry Rickels, Everett Bertlesen, William Evans and Carl Eden. Burial was made at Bennett.

Herman W. Regennitter, was born Oct. 14, 1863, near Walcott, Iowa, the son of Henry and Wilhemine Rinr Regennitter. He was educated in the elementary schools near there.

On Jan. 3, 1891, he was united in marriage to Miss Anna Grafing, Bennett. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary two years ago. They are the parents of four children, all of whom survive.

They operated a farm near Bennett until five years ago when they moved to Anamosa. He died Dec. 31 at his home here.

Mr. Regennitter joined St. Paul's American Lutheran church in Anamosa by confirmation on June 23, 1940.

Surviving are his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Thomas Williams, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Carl Bock, Anamosa; Mrs. Virgil Kenyon, Oxford Junction; one sons, Harold Regennitter, Cedar Rapids; two brothers, Fred, Holstein, and Adolph, Watertown, S. Dak; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Hamilton, Iowa City and Mrs. Dora Doyle, Colfax, 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
