Mrs. James Dragoo,80, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, at Marion, following a lingering illness.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 30, at 1:30 p.m., at the Goettsch Funeral home, Anamosa. Rev. Maurice Gunn, Springville, will conduct the service. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery, Anamosa.

Her grandsons were pallbearers.

She was born Myrta E. Beem, July 21, 1883, daughter of James A. Beem and Lavina Joslin Beem, Fairview township. She was married Sept. 20, 1905, to James Dragoo. She lived her married life in the Martelle community.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Howard Dragoo, Anamosa, and Harold Dragoo, Colorado Springs, Colo.; four daughters, Mrs. Geraldine Hogan, Pocohontas, Ark.; Mrs. Ethel Betzer, Quasqueton; Mrs. Lucille Blood, Lisbon, and Mrs. Evelyn Larsen, Springville.

Others include one sister, Mrs. Maude Larson, Independence, Mo.; one brother, C. C. Beem, Los Angeles, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
