OLIN--Viola Lucille Dethmann, 58, Olin, died Wednesday, May 22, at Mercy hospital, Anamosa.

Prayer service was held Saturday, May 25, at 1 p.m. at the family home. Funeral services were held at the Hayden Funeral home, Olin, at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Lloyd Dutro, pastor of Olin E.U.B. church conducted the services. Interment was in the Olin cemetery.

Pallbearers included Lee Freeman, James Iron, Paul Levsen, Francis Derga, Ronald Kirkpatrick and Harry Carbaugh.

Nellie Stivers was soloist. Dorothy Alexander was accompanist.

She was born March 24, 1905, daughter of Rudolph C. and Helene Lorenzen Dethmann, Hale. She graduated from Clarence high school in 1923 and after attending college at Cedar Falls she taught school for several years in the community.

She also lived in Cedar Rapids for several years. Remaining years of her life she lived on the family farm.

She was a member of the Unity club, and was also interested in the Mercy hospital building project.

Survivors include four brothers, Oscar Dethmann, Arnold Dethmann, Marvin Dethmann and Herman Dethmann, all at home; an aunt, Mrs. Carl Levsen, Stanwood; two uncles Louis Lorenzen and Julius Lorenzen, Olin; and a large number of cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father Sept. 20, 1954, and her mother, March 5, 1962.
