—The 3-year-old daughter of A. Toenjes, near Monticello, reached under a wagon loaded with stone to get an apple. The team started, the wheel running over her head and killing her instantly.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Maria who was born May 28, 1894 and died Oct. 4, 1897. She is buried in Wayne Zion Cemetery.
