Funeral service for Mrs. Tom Lawrence, 39, who died at Mercy hospital Monday, Sept. 13, were held in St. Joseph's church at Prairieburg Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Rev. J. I. Patnode, uncle of the deceased, sang the Requiem High Mass. Rev. S. J. Kucera, her pastor, gave the sermon.

Mildred Patnode Lawrence was born Feb. 27, 1904, and was married to Tom Lawrence, Prairieburg, Dec. 9, 1927. They made their home in Prairieburg.

Survivors include her husband, her two children, Edward and Mary Lee; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Patnode; four sisters, Mrs. Joseph Foarde, Mrs. Clarence Healy, Mrs. Ben Hinrichsen, and Miss Patricia Patnode; and two brothers, Pvt. Bernard Patnode and Edward Patnode.

Burial was at Hazel Knoll cemetery near Stone City, with Loder funeral home in charge of arrangements.
