OXFORD JUNCTION--Mrs. Fred E. McClure, 51, died Sunday evening, Aug. 29, in the University hospital at Iowa City after a long illness. She had been at Mercy hospital for treatment and then was taken to University hospital where she had been for the last two months.

Her body was brought to the Hayden mortuary and funeral service was held Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 1, at 1:30 p.m. from the Methodist church at Oxford Mills, with Rev. Wilbur Altheide in charge.

Singers were Mrs. D. J. Meade and Miss Marjorie Leslie, accompanied by Mrs. James Kotlinek. Burial was in Mayflower cemetery.

Ethel Coker was born on a farm near Oxford Junction, Nov. 10, 1892, the daughter of George and Charlotte Coker.

She was united in marriage to Fred McClure July 14,1909, and they made their home at Oxford Mills.

She is survived by her husband, her mother, and son, Sanford at home, a sister, Mrs. George Yarolum, Oxford Mills, and four brothers, Lacy, Oxford Mills; Earl, Maquoketa; Roy, Ottumwa, and Harry, Marion.
